Project and Skin updates

Skin-wise, things have been going well despite all the itching and scratching.

I’ve started taking Vit D tablets (1000IU) per day, and B complex vitamins as well as cod liver oil capsules. It appears to be working well as my sleep and energy has improved. There may or may not be any correlation between my improvements with these vitamins I’ve been taking. Even if they are not working, I hope to induce the placebo effect, a phenomenon that is quantifiable and real which can aid in healing.

There were still nights when I went itch crazy and scratched the hell out of my skin. They break, ooze, and the next morning when I wake up, they are all dried and crusted. It feels great to see the wounds dry in the morning. I’ve went cold turkey on moisturizers since 1 Oct, and so far in close to 2 years, I’ve never felt better about my skin even if i had a very bad night previously. My skin now is mostly leathery and dry, and I would say it is more resistant to breaks compared to previously when I was moisturizing all day long.

Some updates on the community project I’m working on:

Initial wave of interview questions has been sent out. Awaiting for replies and then subsequent followup interviews.

Still sourcing for potential interviewees. If there is anyone who would like to be part of this project, do drop me a note!

My estimated completion timeframe for this project should be less than 6 months. It is gaining good momentum as of now!
